Video: Manhart MH6 800 Gets a Proper Promo Clip, Claims 800 HP

It certainly seems like Manhart Performance is out on a war path, pushing the performance envelope further and further with ridiculous amounts of power. The BMW tuner has recently unveiled a 823 HP BMW X6 M under the MHX6 800 nameplate and today we’re taking a look at a similarly powered BMW M6. The Manhart MH6 800 has ludicrous amounts of power under its vented hood, as the name suggests.

Unlike static pictures, the video below, featuring the heavily tuned monster, also allows us to get a glimpse at what the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 under the hood sounds like and we’re not disappointed. Looking at what used to be an M6, we can easily spot the upgrades thrown on by the guys over at Manhart, and the list is quite long. On the outside we’re dealing with Manhart’s own Carbon Hood, Carbon Front Splitter and Front Covers,  carbon fiber diffuser round the back, a new trunk lid spoiler and mirror caps. Of course, the Manhart 21″ Concave one wheels shouldn’t be left out.

As for the performance upgrades, the 800 HP and 1,050 Nm (775 lb-ft) of torque have been achieved with the use of a new ECU map, two new turbos, dowpipes and a full exhaust system. Now, the car can accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) from standstill in 3.7 seconds, go from 100 km/h to 200 km/h (62-124 mph) in 6.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 335 km/h (208 mph). Those figures get it as close to a supercar as possible.

Since the Coupe BMW M6 went out of production in the wake of the imminent launch of the BMW M8, people wanting to get one of these beauties for their collection need to look in other places, leaving the dealerships behind. Luckily, the Manhart kit can be applied to Convertible and Gran Coupe models as well so if you prefer these body styles, you’re covered! Now we’re more than curious to see what kind of upgrades the new M8 will be getting.
