Video: BMW’s Latest USA Commercial Focuses on what Truly Matters

What makes you want to go out to the garage and go for a drive? Is it the fact that you cover a long distance while sitting down? Is it that you want to get from point A to point B? Or is it the fact that when you start your car’s engine, you suddenly feel alive? That’s what it’s all about, isn’t it, and that’s what BMW is focusing on with their latest commercial aired in the US: “So Alive.” The spot was also published on Youtube and we can share it with you.

The video showcases all sorts of BMWs, from M cars, the true delight of the entire range, to SUVs and even electric models. As a matter of fact, the i3 is one of the most fun cars the Germans have in store these days. I know that may sound ridiculous to some but only to those who didn’t get the chance to drive one yet. The instant torque of the city-car along with the skinny tires and lightweight construction make it a zippy cruiser around town.

Leaving the i3 aside, the video also showcases the upcoming BMW X3 M40i doing some offroading, tempting us even more to just get out there and have some fun. The upcoming X3 is one of the most awaited cars, reaching dealerships towards the end of the year, and we can’t wait to take it for a spin, in all of its configurations, not just the top of the range M40i guise. Of course, next year, we’ll get to see the proper M version of the X3 finally stepping out of the shadows, most likely using the same all-wheel drive system as the M3/M4.

In the end though, no matter what tech is being used under the sheet metal, it’s the feeling we get behind the wheel of a proper BMW that gets us excited every time. It’s the way the car slides to the side when we push it into a corner or the way the straight six engine under the hood sounds when revving it that made us fall in love with the brand and that’s something few other car makers out there can brag with.
