MINI Announces Its Line-up at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show

The Frankfurt Motor Show is possibly the biggest car show of the year. It’s right up there with the Geneva Motor Show but when it comes to German manufacturers, most of them prefer to unveil their latest creations on home ground. Therefore, for groups like the BMW Group, it will be the place where a full display of force will be made. Since MINI is now part of the BMW Group, the British manufacturer will have a more than decent stand at the 2017 IAA.

At the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, the British premium brand will give the visitors an impression of how the brand-specific feeling will develop in the future to cover a broader range beyond the current model program. Innovative concepts and technologies provide an idea of what the people in Oxford are working on these days, starting with the recently unveiled electric concept that’s on everyone’s mind.

The MINI Electric Concept will be showcased in Frankfurt for the first time and embodies a whole new dimension of the brand’s characteristic go-kart feeling, now combining it with locally emission-free mobility. The concept vehicle conveys a message of sustainable urban transportation in typical style while at the same time previewing a volume production model that will follow soon. The first purely electrically powered MINI to be manufactured in large-scale production will go on the road in 2019 – precisely 60 years after the classic Mini was first launched. It will make electromobility a highly emotional experience that combines driving fun, style and individual flair.

The rest of the line-up will be made up of the new MINI Cooper S E Countryman ALL4, also an eco-friendly proposal from the UK as well as the MINI Countryman and MINI Clubman with internal combustion engines. Of course, the MINI 3-door, 5-door and even the convertible will also be present while the John Cooper Works models will be welcoming curious viewers as well, to learn about what sets them apart.

Diversity and individual character are also embodied by the other elements of the MINI trade fair showcase in Frankfurt. From 14 to 24 September, the British premium manufacturer will present a broad cross-section of its range, containing elements drawn from the current model program, its rich selection of optional equipment and the latest additions in the area of accessory and lifestyle products. The setting for this display of both current and future items is Hall 11 at the main entrance to the Frankfurt trade fair center, a site that will be shared by the BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad brands.
