Even though the center stage of the latest novelties from Rolls-Royce is currently occupied by the eight rendition of the Phantom, rich people looking for a more sporty offering are still interested in the Wraith. That’s understandable too because the Wraith is the sportiest offering from the double-R brand without losing any of the luxury. Just a quick look is enough to make you understand why it’s so popular.
One Wraith that caught our eye is currently residing at the Abu Dhabi dealership, dressed to impress in a combination of Diamond Black and Jubilee Silver. In order to get a good idea as to what these colors actually look like and what separates them from other shades of black and silver, you’d have to see it in person though because looking at them on a screen might distort your perception.
Nevertheless, even on a computer screen the combination looks just right for a Rolls-Royce. The same theme continues inside as the open doors confirm that for us, in the pictures below. However, for the cabin, the master crafters over in Goodwood used full grain leather in Seashell and Black colors, at the request of the customer. After all, that’s what sets Rolls-Royce models apart, the unlimited number of combinations you can get, done in the best materials available out there.
As for the sporty claims of the Wraith, it may seem ridiculous at first but this land yacht can move. Thanks to its 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 under the hood it has 632 PS and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque at its disposal to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.5 seconds. It may not be the fastest car in the corners but it will hang with a lot of lighter cars even though it may seem like it shouldn’t.
