The BMW i3 plays its role of a futuristic, eco-friendly, slick city car quite well. With a realistic range of of about 90 miles / 150 kilometers, the city driving in this little beast is a welcome experience. The vehicle features a lot of interesting features and classy amenities, which, alongside its futuristic design, make it an appealing urban vehicle. The BMW i3 comes with a 170 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque hybrid-synchronous electric motor, developed and produced by BMW, is electrified by a 22-kWh lithium-ion battery, good for 80-100 miles of emission-free driving.
For some owners, the futuristic looks of the EV aren’t enough to entice a full set of emotions for some owners. Hence, the owner of this particular BMW i3 went over to TAG Motorsports, all in order to give the car even more enticing exterior looks.
This was accomplished thanks to a set of custom aftermarket forged wheels from HRE Performance Wheels – the HRE 309 Classic wheels. According to HRE Wheels, the HRE Classic Series is: “Recalling the 1990s and a time when custom wheels began gaining popularity, these forged 3-piece and Monoblok designs are meant to elicit memories of some of our favorite wheels. Designed to today’s much higher standards for strength and quality and given a modern touch so that they complement sports cars new and old, the Classic Series is truly timeless.”
For the BMW i3, these wheels come sized 20×5.5 and 20×5.5 in the front and rear, respectively. The wheels feature a Satin Black finish. The wheels are also adorned with a Turquoise Green finish for the lips, adding a nice contrasting effect to the wheels. Take a look at the complete build gallery right below.
