Video: Widebody Bagged BMW E85 Z4 Gets Retro Forged Wheels

The BMW E85 Z4 is still a revered car because of its timeless beauty and its rare appearance. The roadster was and still is a highly sought after car but it’s not selling in bulks, making spotting it on public roads a truly rare occasion. That being said, tuning kits for Z4s are also seldom, but the ones that do exist will definitely make your car stand out.

It’s the case of this E85 Z4 which was heavily tuned to drop a few inches closer to the ground and also show a meaner face. The Alpine White roadster received a  bolt-on wide body kit that instantly changed the way people looked at it. On top of that, a set of AMP R-3o Retro Series forged wheels were added to the mix, in a 3-piece design with Candy Blue centers brushed lips, chrome exposed hardware and raw inner barrel. Needless to say, this thing looks the part.

Under the hood lies a 3-liter naturally aspirated straight six engine that makes 231 HP and 300 Nm (220 lb-ft) of torque and will allow the 2-seater to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 5.9 seconds. Today that may not seem like a lot but back in the early 2000s when the car was in production, the 3.0i Z4 was quite a fast bunny, hard to keep up with.

We’re guessing that with all these mods installed, the performance figures changed a little but then again, not everyone’s after the shortest lap times, for some, looks are everything and this thing definitely has what it takes to stand out in the crowd.
