Maynooth University's Robin Dawson took the individual title in the World University Golf Championship in France as Ireland finished second to the hosts in the men's team event.
The Tramore native closed with a two under par 70 at Golf de Planchetorte in Brive to win by two strokes from China's Xuewem Luo on three over par.
Eugene Smith (74) was eighth on 14 over with Cathal Butler (74) tied 13th on 17 over.
Ireland finished second, six shots behind France in the men's team standings while the women's team was eighth behind runaway winners, the Czech Republic.
Karolina Vlckova took the individual title by nine strokes on one under par from compatriot Marie Lunakova with Shannon Burke (77) 21st overall.
Sinead Sexton (81) was 25th with Rachel Taylor (85) 26th.
