BMW Japan introduces a new special limited edition model of the BMW X3 called “Blackout”. The special X3 goes on sale on August 6th and will be limited to 200 units. This is Japan’s 9th model of special limited cars to commemorate the 100th anniversary of BMW, and the first special X3 for Japan.
BMW X3 Celebration Edition “BLACKOUT” is equipped with a 2-liter equipped four-cylinder diesel engine, delivering 184 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to the highly-efficient and precise ZF 8-speed transmission. Sold under the BMW X3 xDrive20d badge, the BLACKOUT model is fitted with the M Sport Package which adds extra sporty flair to the already dynamic design of the X3.
The car is painted in Sapphire Black and paired with a black trim, black kidney grille and black wheels. The cabin sports the BMW Individual Ansorajitto Roof lining, black Nevada leather seats, as well as with a brushed aluminum interior trim and aluminum pedals.
Furthermore, in addition to the HiFi speaker system, the X3 “BLACKOUT” has an engraved interior badge and leather key case which highlights its unique traits.
When it goes on sale, the BMW X3 Blackout will be priced at ¥ 6,980,000, or around $68,000.
