When you’re a car enthusiast, odds are you would take your sports car to the track as well. Yet, this is your daily driver so overloading it with racing upgrades is often not the right choice. For the owner of this gorgeous Sakhir Orange BMW M3, that balance meant giving his vehicle some high-quality aftermarket upgrades while keeping the daily driving spirit untouched.
The current-generation BMW M3 is powered by one of the most advanced petrol engines available on the market today. The 3.0 Liter BMW TwinPower Turbo engine – delivering 425 horsepower and 406lb-ft of torque – comes with impressive performance and goes easy on your wallet when the fuel bill comes into play. The vehicle will do a run from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in just 4.1 seconds, but it also gets you 17 mpg on the city and 27 mpg on the highway.
In turn, this made the BMW M3 a perfect starting point for this aftermarket build. The cosmetic touches were first to be added here. Namely, the BMW M Performance carbon fiber rear spoiler and side blade attachments first found their way onto this vehicle. Next, a lightweight front lip spoiler was installed, followed by iND painted side reflectors, rear reflectors and blacked out kidney grilles.
To prep the car for the track as well, a set of Macht Schnell spacers – 15mm in the front and 12mm in the rear – were added to the ride.
The final touch on this M3 is the KW Suspension HAS (Height Adjustable Lowering Spring Sleeve-Over Kit) which allows the owner to adjust the ride height of his vehicle with a reasonable price point, without the need to commit to a full coilover setup. In turn, this allows the vehicle to be utilized in daily driving modes, but also, be prepared for those track day events in a short period of time.
