Seamus Power with supporters and friends at West Waterford Golf Club
Graeme McDowell finished with three successive bogeys and looked likely to join Seamus Power in missing the cut the rain-delayed Puerto Rico Open.
McDowell is a shot outside the projected three-under-par cut mark after a second successive 71.
But he will be disappointed with his finish having birdied the second, eagled the par-five fourth and then birdied the short sixth to get to five-under-par for the tournament.
When he followed a bogey at the 11th with a birdie at the 12th, there was still time to make a move into the top 20 at Coco Beach Golf & Country Club.
A two-hour rain delay did not help and McDowell finished poorly instead and now looks like joining Power and pal Ian Poulter (69-73) on the plane home.
Poulter is running out of time to keep full status under his major medical extension from a foot injury last year.
He has five starts remaining to earn 117 FedExCup points or $177,729.
Power opened with a bogey-free, three-under 69 but added a four-over 76 on Friday, going out in 35 but coming home in five-over 41 to finish on one-over par.
Bryson DeChambeau (65) shared the lead with D.A. Points and Bill Lunde in the rain-delayed event on 11-under-par when the second round was suspended by darkness.
