I made this set using Photoshop and the Topaz Impression Photoshop/PSE plug-in (app).
This set of five textures can be used layered on images or by themselves as digital paper on websites, greeting cards, storyboards, Facebook covers, you name it! And you can use them commercially, no attribution necessary, just don't resell them "as is" as I want to keep them free. :-)
In this example I used the "Ocean" texture layered over this image. I applied the texture two times, once in Multiply (29%) and once in Screen (55%) and removed out the flower (mostly) on the layer mask.
Then I added a blue color fill adjustment layer in Soft Light over the original image and only applied it to the flower. I had removed most of the texture from the flower so I wanted to make sure the texture color was applied on the flower.
You can also add the texture to my freebies. I used the "Forest" texture on this Facebook cover.
