BMW M5 Competition tuned by AC Schnitzer

BMW Abu Dhabi and tuning powerhouse AC Schnitzer have teamed up to bring you the first BMW M5 Competition tuned up and modded with parts developed by the German tuner. Compared to its impressive performance, the 625-hp BMW M5 Competition has always looked fairly restrained in the looks department and often hard to differentiate from the standard model. And this is where AC Schnitzer steps in to enhance the looks of the F90 M5 Competition to new levels.

In addition to the bright red livery, numerous tuning components from AC Schnitzer are also used here, further emphasizing the dynamics of the vehicle. Above all, the rear wing will also make it clear to the last casual observer that this is the opposite of an ordinary 5 Series sedan.

The eye-catching diffuser insert made of carbon fiber, the front splitter with carbon fiber attachments and, of course, the AC Schnitzer wheels clearly differentiate the M5 from the regular M5. There are high-gloss black accents on the kidney grille, rear bumper and mirror caps, along with a sports exhaust system with tailpipes in carbon fiber. The AC Schnitzer logo on the rear doors complete the tuning look of the M5 Competition.

AC Schnitzer currently offers a power kit that takes the power output of the M5 Competition from 617 hp and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque to 690 HP and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft), but it’s unclear whether this particular model has gone through a power upgrade as well.

In standard form, the M5 Competition runs from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.3 seconds and hit 200 km/h (124 mph) in 10.8 seconds, but it’s fair to say that a significant power update will bring down those times as well.
