Lurgan's Annabel Wilson and Lisburn's Paula Grant are in contention heading into Friday's final 36 holes of the Ladies' British Open Amateur Strokeplay at North Berwick.
England's Gemma Clews added a four-under 69 to his opening 73 to lead by a stroke on four-under par from compatriot Hannah Screen.
But Wilson is just three strokes behind on one-under after rounds of 75 and 70, tied for third with Sweden's Lin Grant while Irish Close champion Grant is just a shot further back after a brace of 73s.
Seven of the 10-strong Irish contingent made the 10-over par cut with Douglas' Sara Byrne the next best of the Irish on six-over 152.
Jessica Ross, Julie McCarthy and Valerie Clancy are tied 28th on nine over while Maynooth's Ciara Casey made it on the mark thanks to a birdie at the 18th.
