BMW M2 CS (Competition) will feature new exterior and interior colors

The future BMW M2 CS or M2 Competition – as the final name has yet to be decided – will arrive in 2018 as one of the most fun M cars to drive today. Under the hood it will feature the 3.0-liter S55 petrol engine from the M3/M4 with a maximum power of 405 hp. The engine will be mated to a 7-speed M-DCT transmission or a a six-speed manual.

Along with the power increase, the supped up M2 will also introduce new colors to the lineup. One of them is Silver Hockenheim, while the other is a flashier one – Sunset Orange. The M2 CS will continue to be offered in Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Mineral Grey and Long Beach Blue Metallic.

Inside, while the M2 is only available with one option, the M2 CS will enhance the look of the interior of the Dakota black leather upholstery with contrast stitching in Polar Blue or Kyalami Orange and the option of normal or perforated leather.

Additionally, BMW will offer optional M Sport Seats and M Sport Brakes, for that extra ///M flavor craved by its customers.

Another rumor going around is that starting with late Summer 2018, the M2 CS might entirely replace the facelifted M2 model, leaving customers with one purchasing option. The M2 CS or M2 Competition will surely go up in price, with premiums expected anywhere from $10,000 to $15,000 over the price of the “regular” M2.
