PGA Europro Tour — Clandeboye's Jonny Caldwell is in position to earn one of five Challenge Tour cards following next month's season-ending Tour Championship.
The former Walker Cup player finished tied for fourth in the Clipper Logistics Championship at Moor Allerton Golf Club to remain fourth in the Race To Amendoeira money list with Ballymena's Dermot McElroy ranked seventh, Royal Dublin's Niall Kearney 10th, Brendan McCarroll 17th, Brian Casey 26th and Tim Rice 47th,
Casey finished third at Moor Allerton on Friday, five strokes behind James Adams, who carded rounds of 70, 65, and 66 to win by four shots and claim his second tour win of the year.
His win moved him to fifth in the Race To Amendoeira with the top five at the end of the season earning promotion to the Challenge Tour.
The top 60 in the Race to Amendoeira will compete in the season-ending £100,000 Tour Championship at the at Oceanico Faldo Course from October 24-26.
Caldwell, McElroy, Kearney, McCarroll, Casey and Tim Rice will be chasing the £22,540 top prize and with just £16,788.33 between the player in fifth place and the player ranked 60th, the five Challenge Tour cards are still up for grabs.
