The guys from BMW Abu Dhabi are known for either bespoke Rolls-Royce models delivered or rare BMW cars with particular combinations. However, today we’re taking a look at a rather special MINI, one built specifically for the local market in the Emirates. Dubbed the MINI JCW Monte Carlo Edition, this isn’t a manufacturer-backed limited run model but rather a marketing exercise from BMW Abu Dhabi.
The car was put together by the dealership and features a pretty nice configuration. Starting off life as a random MINI JCW hardtop model, the car received an AC Schnitzer engine upgrade that took the power levels of the 2-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine up from 231 HP to 265 HP. Furthermore, the German tuner was also the one that provided a stainless steel exhaust for the car with Bluetooth controllable valves in the rear mufflers.
Up front, the car gained an AC Schnitzer splitter attached to the bumper, while on the sides you’ll notice the custom painted wheels, in a blue and black glossy theme. The front fascia is also dominated by two additional headlamps that remind everyone why this car is dubbed the Monte Carlo edition. With an evident throwback to the Cooper S model that won the Monte Carlo Rally back in January 1964, this thing looks and drives like a little maniac.
To be a bit critical as well, the checkered flag motif thrown nearly everywhere might be a bit too much but then again, different strokes for different folks and we’re guessing the owner wanted to attract as much attention as possible. That can also be done with a firm pressing of the gas pedal, as even the stock exhaust of the JCW sounds loud enough to turn heads.
