La Cala Resort's Rory McNamara
La Cala Resort's Rory McNamara racked up his best finish of the season on the Pro Golf Tour when he tied for fifth in the Haugschlag NÖ Open 2018 in Austria.
The former West of Ireland and North of Ireland winner shot rounds of 72, 69 and 67 to finish just four shots behind Mathieu Decottignies Lafon of France on eight-under par at Golfresort Haugschlag, close to the Cech border.
McNamara, 29 next month, picked up €1,353.33 and is now 29th in the Pro Golf Tour's Order of Merit which will see the Top-5 earn Challenge Tour status for 2019.
