Introduced in 2016, the BMW M2 is the more powerful successor to everyone’s favorite BMW 1 Series M Coupe, or as some simply call it, the 1M. Under the hood, the M2 packs the 3.0-liter N55 twin-turbocharged inline-6, which produces 365 horsepower and 343 lb-ft of torque, sent to the rear wheels. The M2 manages a sprint to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds, but only when mated to the M Double Clutch Transmission and with launch control.
But for those looking for even more performance from their M2, and improved looks, BMW is offering a comprehensive M Performance program. Take for example this Alpine White M2 which was brought to the Thermal Club race track in Palm Springs.
The sporty coupe was fitted with a wide range of M Performance Parts, including black kidney grilles, black side gills, carbon fiber mirror caps, carbon fiber front apron, side skirts, rear diffuser, rear spoiler lid, side M Performance illuminated door sill, M Performance exhaust system with titanium tips and M Performance coilover suspension.
One important upgrade to the car was the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires instead of the standard PSS rubber. An M Performance brake kit with the typical blue calipers ensures that this M2 can easily be stopped at any speeds.
To properly illustrate the car in its best light, we’ve put together a comprehensive photoshoot.
