Eleven Irish golfers will tee it up at the Second Stage of the European Tour Qualifying School at four Spanish venues this week.

With only around 18 players progressing at each venue, it will be a tough ask for all eleven as they bid to make it to the Final Stage at Lumine Golf Club in Tarragona from November 11-16 where only the leading 25 and ties after six rounds will be eligible for membership of the European Tour.

Castleknock native David Carey, West Waterford's Gary Hurley and Derry's Ruaidhri McGee go at Panoramica Golf & Sport Resort in Castellón while Northern Ireland's Colin Fairweather, John Ross Galbraith and five-time European Tour winner Michael Hoey have been drawn at Las Colinas Golf & Country Club in Alicante.

Ballymena's Brendan McCarroll and Narin and Portnoo's Dermot McElroy go at El Saler in Valencia while Clandeboye's Jonathan Caldwell, who earned his Challenge Tour return via the Europro Tour's Top-5 last week, is joined at Desert Springs Golf Club in Almería by Cormac Sharvin and Niall Kearney.

The number of players who qualify for the Final Stage will be announced "as soon as is reasonably possible" once all the participants have teed off in the first round of the Second Stage.
