Rickie Fowler wins the 2017 Honda Classic
Graeme McDowell closed with a one-under-par 69 to finished tied 14th behind Rickie Fowler in the Honda Classic.
The Portrush native picked up $102,400 as he ended the week on four-under-par and eight strokes adrift of Fowler, who shot 71 to capture his fourth PGA Tour title by four shots from Gary Woodland and Morgan Hoffman.
McDowell, who came into the event ranked 89th in the world, bogeyed the first and second but rallied with birdies at the fourth, seventh and 13th to record his third successive round in the sixties.
The key to his week was arguably his accuracy off the tee as he was tied third for fairways hit.
