Kenny Fahey edged out Pure Golf Leopardstown’s Michael McDermott and Narin and Portnoo’s Brendan McCarroll to win the Luttrellstown Pro-Am on Wednesday.
The GUI National Academy pro posted a four under par 68 to win by one shot at the Dublin venue.
By his own admission Fahey has endured a 'tough' season but he played solidly, collecting five birdies and dropping just one shot - at the 16th - on his way to victory.
"I was pleased to birdie the 18th after dropping that shot at the 16th," said Fahey. "It was important to steady the round. It's not the easiest course in the world and it was blustery as well.”
Damien McGrane and his amateur partners, Tom Muldoon, Dermot Dunne and Kieron Grant won the team event with a superb score of 97 points.
