Tim Rice closed with a four under 68 to clinch ninth place behind winner Matthew Webb in the Galvin Green PGA Assistants' Championship at Little Aston
The Limerick man picked up £800 as he finished on four under par, eight behind Webb whose final round 69 gave the title by two strokes on 12 under 204 from Ben Hall.
It was a good week for the Irish with seven players making the cut.
Dun Laoghaire’s Michael Kelly finished a fine 12th on one under despite a closing 74 with Banbridge’s Richard Kilpatrick just outside the top 20.
