For those of you that love futuristic renderings, the name Khyzyl Saleem might be very familiar. The man is an expert renderer who is currently working with various software developers to bring out the next big thing in racing video games. However, his passion for drawing up interesting combinations of cars has never faded and the one we’re showing you today makes no exception. Combining the generous hips of the BMW M2 with some i8 hints makes for an interesting combo.
The BMW M2 definitely attracts a lot of attention. Being considerably shorter than its M4 brother and yet nearly as wide in the hips, it’s a car that turns heads everywhere you go. Those wide hips are the reason why Khyzyl was probably interested in putting together a rendering in the first place. Combining them with the i8’s rear end was then probably something that came naturally.
That’s because the rear end of the i8 is a thing to behold. Featuring large air scopes on the sides to be as aerodynamic as possible and tail lamps that seem to be sculpted on, it’s hard not to appreciate what the designers managed to do here. Basically, the i8 is a concept car that came to life and even though it has been out for quite some time now, it still draws large crowds wherever it goes.
And while this may be just a rendering, we can’t help but feel as if it sort of previews the future. Let’s face it, the global warming we’re experiencing right now will force car makers to adopt hybrid and electric drivetrains on a wider scale. That could possibly indicate a future for hybrid or, who knows, maybe even pure electric M cars. It does sound like a nightmare to some of us but then again, let’s wait and see what the future holds before having night terrors.
