If you want a midsize, premium sporty coupe, at a decent price, then look no further than the BMW 2 Series. For the past few years, the world saw a decline in roadster and coupe sales, while vehicles like the 2 Series gained even more traction. Purists have been excited about the 2 Series Coupe ever since it came out and the beautiful two door has been the object of many tuning projects.
Furthermore, a lot of people are pitting this model against the legendary likes of the BMW 2002Ti and the E46 M3. Not without a reason, however.
The BMW 2 Series is a perfect mix of style, performance and handling prowess, wrapped in one vehicle. This particular Melbourne Red BMW M235i comes with the well-known BMW M Performance 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine. In the M235i, this engine boasts a powerful 320-horsepower and comes with a maximum torque output of 330 lb-ft available between 1,400-4,500 rpm.
The performance output allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in just 4.6 seconds and provides the driver with plenty of power to attack those track corners. The BMW M235i xDrive will make the sprint even faster: it will go from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in just 4.4 seconds.
Fuel consumption is impressive as well. The BMW M235i (with an eight-speed automatic) is capable of 32mpg in the city and 20mpg highway fuel consumption. That is – for Europeans – approximately 11l/100km and 7l/100km for city and highway fuel consumption, respectively. Currently, the BMW M240i replaces the M235i – albeit with a similar price tag and almost identical performance aspect as well.
For this owner, performance numbers are not all that he’s interest in. To further accentuate the exterior appeal of his vehicle, he picked a set of HRE FF15 FlowForm wheels. The wheels accentuate the BMW M235i perfectly, as you can see in the media gallery below.
