Ronan Mullarney secured his second win in two weeks by clinching a one-shot victory at the Irish Students Amateur Open in Tralee.
Fresh from his victory at The R&A Foundation Scholars Tournament in St Andrews, the Galway native carded a final round 71 to win by a stroke from Maynooth University teammate Jack McDonnell on three-under-par as Clodagh Walsh won the women's event by 13 strokes.
Level with Maynooth teammate Alan Fahy at the start of the day thanks to a second round 66, Mullarney picked up three birdies on the front nine to lead by two shots from Fahy.
But it was McDonnell who mounted the biggest challenge, closing with a birdie for a joint best of the day 71 that gave him second place on two-under par.
The Maynooth A side of Mullarney, Fahy and Cathal Butler took the team honours by four shots on a day when Maynooth's Walsh won the ladies event, closing with a 72 to finish on 218.
