This 2016 Alpine White BMW M4 comes from Miami, Florida, a place known for tuning crazed owners who love to take their BMWs to new levels. The M4 is a sports vehicle that ticks both the visual and performance boxes. It starts off with a run-off-the-mill 3.0 liter BMW TwinPower Turbo engine which in its stock form delivers 425 horsepower and 486lb-ft of torque. It can run from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in just 4.1 seconds and accelerate all the way up to 155mph (250km/h). Even though some owners only like to add some visual upgrades to their M4, this particular owner had other ideas.
The first part installed onto this vehicle is a complete slip-on Akrapovic Titanium exhaust system. This aftermarket exhaust system allows for an increase of 7.2 horsepower at 5400RPM and 12.3lb-ft of torque at 2350RPM. Additionally, the system weighs 6.6lbs (3.0kg) less than the stock system, removing excess weight from this high-performance machine as well. The much deeper sound note coming out of the quad carbon covered exhaust tips makes for a perfect performance upgrade.
Next in line was a set of PURE Stage 2 turbos. The development of these aftermarket turbos started back in 2014 when Pure Turbos bought an M4 and immediately began R&D to create what is known as the most powerful and refined turbo upgrade offering for the M4 available today. The company tested the setup, yielding a staggering 632 wheel horsepower and since have tweaked the turbos to offer customers the chance to go over 700 wheel horsepower with the BMW M3/M4 S55 engine. The owner of this vehicle reported a test dyno run yielding 702 horsepower to the wheels – an amazing result for this platform.
With the added power, there comes a need for an upgraded clutch system. This BMW M4 features an SSP Spec R Clutch, providing the DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) system powering this vehicle with a much more optimized clutch solution that can handle the increase in horsepower and torque.
After the clutch was upgraded, the time came to add the aftermarket axles by Diversified Shaft Solutions. Basically, this is an upgrade that ensures that all the extra power and torque can be safely transferred to the rear wheels.
Additional performance items include the ER charge pipe, a CSF front mounted heat exchanger and a BootMod3 tune. If only by looking at the high-quality parts selection and the overall tuning direction taken, the owner of this white beast clearly knows what he’s doing.
To improve the handling, he further installed a KW Suspension Variante3 coilover system. The V3 Coilover Kit is a basically a race package that allows you to drive your new BMW M4 to its limits in just about every driving condition possible. With this system, you’ll not only be able to adjust the ride height of your vehicle, but you’ll also be able to change compression and rebound dampening in order to make your coilover kit as aggressive or soft as you want within the V3’s parameters.
Finally, the visual upgrades came into play. The vehicle features the M-Performance front lip and splitters, joined by M Performance carbon fiber mirror caps giving the M4’s Alpine White exterior paint finish a perfect accentuating look. Additionally, a set of Aeroflow Dynamics side skirts, a Vorsteiner rear diffuser and a PSM Dynamic V2 rear spoiler add another note of aggressive looks to this vehicle. Furthermore, the vehicle features a set of aftermarket lights and the MY2017 LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) taillights.
To complete the aggressive look of this M4, the owner decided to add a set of the ADV10 M.V2 CS Series forged wheels. The Competition Spec Series come standard with spoke cut-outs and lightweight titanium hardware, combined with backpad pocketing for further weight reduction.
For this build, the wheels were built in sizes of 20×9.5 in the front and 20×11.5 in the rear. A striking Brushed Red with Gloss Clear finish is applied to the wheels, alongside a 50/50 Exposed Titanium Hardware option – keeping the wheel weight down even further. Finally, a rather cheeky license plate completes the interesting look of this beast of an M4.
