BMW’s M Performance Parts division has a large presence at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show. The first press days introduces the BMW X4 M40i adorned with a large variety of M Performance Parts.
Along with the M Sport Package – standard on the X4 M40i – the top of the line X4 comes with most of the M Performance accessories currently offered. At the front, the X4 SAC gets the blacked out kidney grille. From the side, a “character line” in carbon fiber flows from the rear skirts through the door and into the front fenders.
A pair of carbon fiber mirror cases are fitted to the car as well. In the back, a carbon fiber black diffuser is included along with the M Performance trunk spoiler.
Sporty and unique 20 inch M Performance wheels round up the exterior look.
Inside the cabin, the M experience kicks off with the M Performance Steering wheel in Alcantara. The carbon fiber trim replaces the wood or aluminum found in the “standard” models. Even the gear shifter gets a carbon fiber wrap.
The pedals have also been upgraded with the aluminum ones found in the catalog.
