Let’s face it: the BMW M135i could’ve been better looking. BMW’s second attempt at a hatchback wasn’t at all what people have been hoping for and one has to wonder how they came up with this since the original 1 Series was so good looking.
I guess that’s going to be a mystery for years to come but the truth of the matter is, no matter how bad the exterior made you feel, what you could experience behind the wheel of these things is nothing to scoff at. The M135i was and still is – in its M140i guise – one of the best driving cars the Germans had to offer.
As for the design, some tricks could be employed to make it more enjoyable. Take this particular M135i for example, that was wrapped by the guys over at DCM Design. They got together with the customer and decided to give this M Performance model a big boost of confidence.
All said and done, the car received a full wrap that definitely draws the attention of passersby. The matte wrap was completed by yellow highlights while the whole thing received a wax protection treatment at the end.
The brake calipers were also painted yellow using thermoresistant paint according to the guys over at DCM Design. Other small details include transparent protective foil for the headlights as well as painted gunmetal rims. All in all, we’re pretty sure this 320 HP beast will turn plenty of heads not only because of its speed but also because of its looks.
In case you’re wondering, the M135i with the 8-speed automatic gearbox can accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) from standstill in 4.9 seconds. It can also reach an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph), all of this in standard guise.
