On balance it was a poor day for the Irish on the second day of the European Tour
First Qualifying Stage Section A qualifiers in Scotland and Germany.
At The Roxburghe in Kelso, Cormac Sharvin remains in position to progress to the Second Stage despite fall from sixth to 12th following a one over 73 that leaves his six behind Scotland's Jack Doherty. Scores
Naas amateur Conor O'Rourke moved up 27 places to tied 40th after a one under 71 but at two over, he's still three shots outside the qualifying places.
Rick Weldon is a shot further back on three over after a 74 on a day when Reeve Whitson (79) slipped to tied 60th on six over and Clontarf's Eamonn Brady (81) tied 72nd on nine over.
At Fleesensee in Germany, Mount Juliet's Stephen Grant fell 18th places to tied 30th after a 75 but is still just a couple of shots off the qualifying mark. Scores
