CoffeeShop "Curie" Vintage Texture Set!

I just designed a new vintage texture/overlay pack to share with you today! I call it "Curie" (for Marie Curie) and it comes in two different colors.

I love using these on my images in Soft Light, Overlay, Multiply, Screen, or a combo of these blending modes. You can also use them on digital papers to age them, or alone.

If you want to download hundreds of my favorite fine art textures and professional photo storyboards plus Photoshop actions and Lightroom presets in one zipped file, check out my Mega Download Pack! Your purchase of my packs support this site and you get free updates up to two years after purchase.

Original images used in this post: (red flowers, , bird, windowsill, baby, beach).

CoffeeShop "Curie" Texture Tutorial:

I aged this digital paper by adding the Curie texture in soft light blending mode.

I love this edit! I used the Curie texture 100% in  Soft Light, then added a black-to-light gray gradient map (see screenshot below) on top in Normal mode. This made the image B&W.

Finally I added a copy of the original beach image (Background) on top in 100% Soft Light. This added back color, but with a gorgeous vintage feel.

I love using these textures on B&W images.

To create this edit, I added the CoffeeShop Curie texture twice in Soft Light blending mode (100% and 50%). The image was too dark so I copied the original image (Background) and put that in Screen blending mode at 38%.

Then I added a Gradient Map on top that went from light gray to black (see screenshot above). This makes a beautiful B&W image with soft gray highlights.

I hope you enjoy using these textures!
