If you’re growing tired of seeing the same shades of white, black and grey being switched between each other on the plethora of BMWs around you these days you should probably take a moment to learn more about the BMW Individual range. If you’re thinking of buying yourself a new car, like a BMW M3 for example, you shouldn’t limit yourself to the color palette visible on the online configurator but instead ask to go through the Individual catalogue where colors like Urban Green can be found hiding.
Of course, this is just one example of stunning colors you can choose from, as the list also includes popular favorites like Fire Orange, Ferrari Red, Daytona Violet or Tanzanite Blue. Urban Green is a truly rare sighting and this particular owner also wanted the interior trims to be done in the same color, giving it a matching finish. The color seems close to British Racing Green but a bit lighter compared to the color made famous by Jaguar race cars back in the 1960s.
As for the car, it seems like we’re dealing with a Competition Package model here fitted with a couple of add-ons. Up front the bumper got a carbon fiber splitter which was sourced from the M Performance catalogue while the side mirror caps have also been replaced with carbon fiber ones. Looking right between the wheels you’ll notice an M Performance side sill while round the back the boot lid gained a carbon fiber spoiler. Last but not least, the exhaust tips are now wrapped by carbon fiber thanks to a new diffuser.
Under the hood hides the same 3-liter straight six S55 engine we’ve grown used to but in Competition Package guise which means it develops 444 HP and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque. It will take the car to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4 seconds flat if equipped with the 7-speed DCT which this car has. A look inside will prove it while also showing you the vast amounts of carbon fiber decking the cabin and the M Performance steering wheel.
