The 2017 BMW X6 M is one of those cars with which most have a “hate it or love it” relationship. It’s a rumbling beast, yet its design and exterior lines are somewhat quirky. Some even go and say, they’re clumsy. But everyone agrees it looks powerful and aggressive, bringing a dose of luxury and high-performance seldom seen in such vehicles.
The BMW X6 M is powered by a 4.4 liter BMW TwinPower Turbo engine delivering 567 ferocious horses that will take the sporty SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle) from 0-62 mph (0-100km/h) in just 4.0 seconds. This is the second most powerful engine unit available in BMW’s product range – it is situated just under the recently released BMW M760i – which develops a whopping 601 hp and a peak torque of 590 lb-ft of torque. But, this X6 M packs a bit more powerful punch, thanks to a DINAN ECU tune.
The DINAN X6 M P1 Power Package adds a healthy 82 horsepower and 72lb-ft of torque, yielding 716 peak horsepower and 702lb-ft of torque. While you may think these numbers are off, DINAN actually measured 647 horsepower and 633lb-ft of torque when they tested the vehicle. In reality, this means the DINAN P1 Power Package yields an increase of 149 horsepower and 112lb-ft of torque when compared to stock numbers. It will certainly help in some high-performance driving scenarios. Naturally, a DINAN trunk badge is added to ensure everyone knows what kind of power you’re pushing out.
For the final touch, the X6 M at hand got a new set of wheels, a customary item for any worthwhile build these days. This one features a set of Ferrada FR4 deep concave wheels. These contemporary-looking ten-spoke wheels are a perfect addition to the X6 M. The elongate spokes feature side cuts and flat lip configuration. For this build, the wheels are sized 22×10.5 and 22×10.5 in the front and rear.
