After some dreary color winter days, I have been in the mood for a very vibrant edit. So I wrote a new action called "Intensity". This enhancement is amazing! It adds brilliant color and light. You can also adjust the contrast from subtle to dramatic to matte. I hope you love this effect as much as I do!
I have a tutorial on how to use it posted below the before/after images.
Images used in this post: (Succulents, Bride, Winter Berries, Love, Girl in Field, Xmas Tree Kiss).
This is my photo of my son. :-)
CoffeeShop "Intensity" Photoshop/PSE Action Tutorial:
Run the CoffeeShop "Intensity" action. Adjust the Levels pop-up to taste.
In this example above I made it a "glossy" dramatic contrast.
In this example above I adjusted the sliders for a "matte" contrast.
This is what the image looks like after the action finishes running, with no adjustments.
Adjust the "Vibrance" layer's opacity. I usually keep it at 50% and paint if off skin by using a soft black low opacity brush on its layer mask.
Keep the "Define" layer in "Soft Light" blending mode or change it to "Overlay" for more drama.
Finally, I sometimes grab a soft low opacity black brush and click on the "Vignette" layer mask to remove some of the highlights from the center of the image.
I would love to see your own edits using this action on my Facebook page!
