For many, the BMW X5 M still retains the title of the best high-performance SAV (Sport Activity Vehicle) available on the market today. It combines a great utilitarian value, together with impressive looks and luxury, but also, with some of the most impressive performance available in the car world today. This particular Carbon Black Metallic BMW X5 M comes from Baan Velgen. The Dutch-based tuning shop improved the exterior looks of the vehicle, satisfying the customization needs set for by the vehicle’s owner.
The most impacting additions to this X5 M are the 3D Design exterior carbon fiber body parts and HRE Wheels. The 3D Design aero program for the BMW X5 M brings a front lip spoiler, a set of side skirts and a rear diffuser. The well-flowing design of the parts snugs against the X5 M’s exterior body lines perfectly, adding that interesting accentuating touch to this vehicle. Furthermore, the parts make the vehicle look more aggressive and clean, adding to its high-performance nature.
After the body upgrades were installed, it was time to update the wheels. The solution for this vehicle is a set of HRE P103 wheels. These lightweight forged wheels combine HRE’s experience on the racetrack, with the utmost particular demands of such a heavy, performance oriented vehicle like this.
The wheels come sized 21×9.5 in the front and 21×10.5 in the rear. Thanks to a Matte Black finish, the wheels flow well with the overall blacked out exterior of the car itself. Enhancing the vehicle further is a set of H&R Lowering Springs, providing for an improved, albeit not too aggressive lowered stance. In turn, the looks are improved, but the ride quality and performance are not impacted in a big way at all.
Finally, the vehicle received a complete Akrapovic Evolution Titanium exhaust system. This system is completely made of titanium, making it a lighter than the stock solution. The system also brings a slight boost the performance aspect, but mostly, it will give you a wide smile every time its valves are open and the 4.4 L V8 BMW TwinPower Turbo engine releases its growl through the quad exhaust pipes.
