This Lava Red BMW i8 was specially commissioned by Abu Dhabi Motors located in the United Arab Emirates’ capital for Princess Al Hawi. The one-off BMW i8 Lava Red was fitted with all the AC Schnitzer parts they dealer could get their hands on. Therefore, the Lava Red i8 in the photos below can be seen wearing five-spoke wheels, a big carbon fiber spoiler up front, carbon fiber side sills and a big wing on the boot, all of them from the German tuner. This sort of reminds us of a Crystal White BMW i8 that was wearing the same package not too long ago.
The Lava Red color is the one that attracts the most attention and, combined with the white leather inside the cabin and the blue seat belts, it brings about an exciting contrast.
It’s unknown whether the color is part of the BMW Individual Program or it was painted on by the dealership itself.
BMW UK is the first to offer BMW Individual colors for the BMW i8 hybrid sportscar. When BMW launched the i8 in 2014, the beautiful hybrid was only offered with a choice of three colors and no option to pay extra for a special paint job.
BMW’s new Individual color collection will be priced upwards of £5,495 in this UK where it will include Java Green, Speed Yellow, Solar Orange, Twilight Purple Pearl, Frozen Grey, Frozen Black, San Marino Blue and Grigio Telesto Pearl, among others.
With all the goodies installed and the special paint job, this one-off BMW i8 is likely to add at least $20,000 to the base price.
