Video: 600 HP Chameleon Wrapped BMW M4 Does Burnout

Untitled

The BMW M4‘s new S55 engine has plenty of tuning potential. Even though the engineers over in the M division decided to use a complicated water-injection system to get 500 HP out of it, other tuners are not so worried about reliability. Therefore, you can find kits out there today that can take the power output of the 3-liter straight six mill up to around 600 HP.

That’s 200 HP/liter, an incredible amount of performance no matter how you look at it. Of course, we don’t really want to know what will happen to that engine after a number of miles but that’s not our concern right now. The guys from PP-Performance currently have a kit on offer that can offer that amount of power and take the torque figure up to 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque. For a car the size of the M4, that’s just ludicrous.

One such car was in Monaco earlier this year, dressed up in what seems like a Chameleon wrap. The beautiful shade of blue the base coating has will change its hue depending on how light hits it, creating a rather dashing effect. Furthermore, the car in the video also received a lowered suspension, new ADV.1 wheels and a couple of carbon fiber bits from Akrapovic on the rear bumper, to go with their aftermarket exhaust.

The wing on the boot doesn’t have a logo on but we have a sneaky suspicion it came from the guys over at AC Schnitzer. Overall, for a tuned BMW M4 this one looks rather good and has the performance to go with its aggressive lines. With its 600 HP and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque, it can definitely put some proper supercars through their paces. Unfortunately, instead of using all that prowess on the track, the car is being hooned around in Monaco. Maybe after a couple of sets of tires, the owner will one day decide to try out his luck on the Nurburgring.
