After their BMW X6 M Typhoon, the German tuning specialists at G-Power are giving their X6 M model the same power output – a whooping 750 horsepower. G-Power BMW X5 M Typhoon package includes a power kit based on the revised S63 4.4 liter TwinTurbo V8 engine. The power kit comes with a modified turbocharger housing complete with larger and more efficient compressor wheels, more efficient exhaust turbine wheel on each sides, and stainless steel downpipes leading to the titanium exhaust mentioned above.
Topping it all off is G-Power’s Bi-Tronik 2 V3 engine control software which utilizes those parts to pump out 750 hp (551 kW) and 980 Nm of torque. The old S63 powerplants were taken up to 725 HP by comparison. Unfortunately, no numbers for the 0-60 mph sprint were given but the tuner claims that the X5 M can now reach 300 km/h (196 mph) and complete the quarter mile in 11.5 seconds.
Along with the power upgrade there is also a new wide body aero kit which features a carbon bonnet with “Venturi based ‘Dynamic Venting’ system” and new air intakes in the front aprons, plus wider front wheel arches, side skirts, new rear valance and four 102 mm diameter tailpipes connected to a titanium sport exhaust system.
Rounding up the visual mods is a set of 23 inch HURRICANE RR alloys.
