Tullamore's Stuart Grehan played a leading role as Ireland qualified in the top flight and clinched aquarter-final clash with Italy at the European Amateur Team Championships in France.
Tony Goode's six-man side qualified in sixth place with Grehan adding a three under 68 to his opening 70 to lead the Irish side in a share of third place on four under par at Golf de Chantilly with Jack Hume also shooting 68 to share ninth.
Hosts France topped the qualifiers on a count back from Scotland with Italy (third), Denmark (fourth), Norway, Spain (seventh) and Sweden (eighth).
But while it was good news for the men just outside Paris, the women's team came up one shot short of making Flight A in Iceland while the girls' team was 11th in Oslo.
