EPD Tour — Headfort's Rory McNamara is just two shots off the lead heading into the final round of the €30,000 Red Sea Egyptian Classic at Sokhna Golf Club.

The former West of Ireland and North of Ireland Amateur champion shot a second successive 69 to share sixth place on six under par at the Egyptian resort.

Egyptian amateur Issa Abou El Ela leads on eight under alongside Austria's Johannes Steiner with the Netherlands' Robbie Van West, the Czech Republic's Stanislav Manus and Scotland's Ross Cameron tied for third on seven under par.

Scores

McNamara, who had four birdies and a bogey on his card, recently failed to get through the first stage of the Asian Tour Qualifying School.

However, he is chasing his second career win on the EPD Tour having won the Open The Tony Jacklin 2016 in Casablanca last February, going on to finish 10th in the money list.
