You can own one of the rarest and coolest BMW M3 Ever Built

PinstonHeads has listed on their website one of the rarest BMWs ever built. BMW made only 67 BMW E90 M3 CRT models and they all sold out before they even arrived on the market. All of the M3 CRTs were painted in Frozen Polar Silver with Melbourne Red accents, and featured lightweight technologies that made it a proper track car.

Following the steps of the M3 GTS, the CRT came with a premium price and a wide range of performance upgrades. It was priced in Germany at 130,000 euro. BMW M3 Carbon Fiber Technology debuted new production process for CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic) components that are used in the i3 and i8.

That’s good for a 70kg weight reduction right there, even though you’re still left with a car weighing 1580kg.

BMW M3 CRT uses the same engine as the M3 GTS Coupe, 450 horsepower at 8,300 RPM and 324 lb-ft torque at 3,750 RPM. Top speed is limited to 180 mph and the carbon-fiber dressed M3 runs to 62 mph in just 4.4 seconds.

The ultra-sporty M3 sedan ran the Hockenheim in 1:13.6 minutes, a full second faster than the “regular” E90 M3 Sedan.

The asking price is £124,995, or around $155,000 at today’s exchange rate. Considering just how rare and special this M3 is, the price might be good enough for a lucky buyer.
