BMW i8 Roadster gets tuned up like a proper racing car

Just a couple of years ago, Japanese aftermarket company Energy Motor Sport released their tuning program for the BMW i8 plug-in hybrid. Sold under the EVO i8 name, the program focused on visual and performance upgrades for the exotic hybrid. More recently, they launched the BMW i8 Dark Knight Edition as  a tribute to the iconic “Batman Dark Knight” movie. The Batcar started as a based BMW i8 plug-in hybrid which was paired with the aggressive and dynamic kit made by EVO. The i8 Carbon Edition kit includes a highly redesigned front bumper, front and rear over fenders, a massive rear wing and rear flippers.

Fast forward to April 2019 and the tuning shop has a new styling kit for us. This time, the base model is the BMW i8 Roadster, an equally stunning and exotic plug-in hybrid. Working with local tuner Eve.ryn, the Japanese company launched the EVO i8s E.N.ARMY eDITION package which includes a brand-new front apron with large air intakes, a front spoiler, side mirror caps, and massive wheel arches. The tuner made a move away from the edgy, angular wheel arches of the EVO i8 / The Dark Knight versions, making them round this time.

Moving on to the rear, there is a new apron complete with a carbon fiber diffusor, a huge racing wing made of carbon fiber and a trunk spoiler lip.

The color chosen for the project is not a khaki color representing an army, but a modern light green with geometric camouflage patterns and ENARMY marks are set up everywhere.

The monster i8 Roadster runs on Pirelli P Zero performance tires wrapped around a set of custom wheels painted in matte gold.

No news on the power upgrades under the hood, so we expect to see the same 374 horsepower from the plug-in hybrid drivetrain.
