Yates solid at Alps Tour Q-School

Naas Jonathan Yates opened with a level par 72 on the Asia Course to lead the Irish challenge at the 54-hole Alps Tour Qualifying School, at La Cala.

He was tied for 15th, four shots behind Clement Hauchard of France who shot a four-under 67 on the America Course where Michael Dallat shot a three-over 74 to share 49th place

Scores

Amateur Peter Dallat shot a four-over 76 on the Asian Course to lie joint 55th as Justin Brink shot a 78 (Asia) and Stephen Grant a 77 (America) to share 87th on six-over.

After three rounds, 35 players will obtain a category 6, guaranteeing them a spot in all the tournaments on the 2019 Alps Tour schedule.

There is a cut after today’s second round with the top 65 and ties progressing to Saturday’s final round at the Asia course.
