Vorsteiner Took Their BMW M2 To The Mountains And The Results Are Spectacular

When Vorsteiner started their work on their BMW M2, a lot of prying eyes were eagerly expecting the first results. While the complete Vorsteiner aero kit is still in development, the California-based tuner hasn’t stayed idle. For this Mineral Gray Metallic BMW M2, the tuner installed a set of their newly-introduced Vorsteiner V-FF 107 wheels.

These come in sizes of 20×9 in the front and 20×10.5 in the rear. Thanks to the Carbon Graphite finish – working in unison with the Mineral Gray Metallic exterior finish of the vehicle – they deliver a great upgrade to the M2.

After the initial upgrades were completed, the tuner decided to put the high-performance vehicle through its paces through some gorgeous twisty and challenging mountain roads. When you take into account that the M2 is powered by a 3.0-liter straight-six engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology delivering 370 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, it becomes clear that this is the perfect vehicle for such a trip.

Additionally, the BMW M2 utilizes the impressive power output and its small size, in order to achieve the 0 to 62mph (0-100km/h) sprint in just 4.3 seconds – if optioned with the fast 7-speed M Dual Clutch Transmission.

AC Schnitzer launches the BMW i8 with Carbon Aerodynamic Accessories

The most advanced BMW sports car of our time has now been further optimized by the tuning specialists at AC Schnitzer. At the Geneva International Motor Show in March, the Aachen-based tuning specialist will launch the plug-in hybrid BMW i8 with new carbon aerodynamic components and special livery.

The i8 by AC Schnitzer, with 25 mm lowering at the front and 20 mm at the rear, is significantly closer to the road than the standard vehicle, ensuring greater stability in all cornering situations.AC Schnitzer carbon front spoiler elements, carbon side skirts and carbon Racing rear wing ensure that driving pleasure can be fully enjoyed on acceleration from both the powerful petrol engine and the hybrid electric motor.

In addition, a carbon middle front spoiler, the carbon bonnet top including middle strut, and the carbon front side wings further emphasise the sporting attributes of the BMW i8.

The carbon air outlets at front and rear not only give the i8 that certain visual extra, but also provide a more intelligent structure of the wheel arch vents.

Carbon side skirts on the left and right, in combination with the three-piece carbon rear diffuser, provide the suction effect in the underfloor region of the i8. The result: better pressure distribution and even more downforce. Aesthetically, the BMW i8 by AC Schnitzer with its carbon door handle recesses and mirror covers, the newly restyled BMW kidney grille, AC Schnitzer logos (160 mm) on left and right, and the special Inferno Red Chrome livery, offers that added value for every tuning fan.

Aluminum pedal set, aluminum footrest and floor mats of velours emphasize the light touch of the interior design, and at the same time highlight the sophisticated look of the i8 by AC Schnitzer.

When it comes to wheel sets, the Aachen company has come up with another innovation: the lightweight AC1 Forged Alloy Wheels in BiColor or Anthracite were specially developed for the sports car, combining hybrid looks with sporting design. Compared with the BMW Turbinenstyling 625 in 20″, the wheels (front 8.5J x 21″ and rear 9.5J x 21″) save a good 4.4 kg in weight and therefore improve the transverse dynamics.

Fitted with corresponding tires (245/35 R 21 front and 285/30 R 21 rear) and optional wheel painting in any color desired, the i8 now offers a complete aero package that will raise eyebrows everywhere it goes.
