It was a case of double delight for Maynooth University in the weekly Tuesday Winter Series at Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links as Shannon Burke and Ronan Mullarney took home the top prizes.
A field of 61 took on the pristine north Dublin links where Ballinrobe one-handicapper Burke, a former Irish Intervarsity champion, carded a 69 to win the nett by three shots from Newlands' Alex Decorde and Pure Golf's Michael McDermott.
In the gross, Galway's Ronan Mullarney carded a level par 71 to win on a countback from Naas' Rob Brazill with former European Tour professional Damien McGrane third with a 72.
