The S1 is HRE’s best-selling three-piece wheel series. When California based wheel maker set out to design these wheels, they moved away from traditional forged-wheel designs of the time, implementing complex surfacing and integrating the lug features into the designs of the spokes. In turn, this resulted in a wheel that exerted sophisticated looks, but also, returned a lightweight performance-oriented wheel design that quickly swept the aftermarket wheel world. For many, the HRE S1 series is the ultimate blend of style and performance and the perfect complement to everything from sports GTs to supercars, with variations suitable for today’s high-performance luxury sedans and SUVs.
And clearly, they look right at home with the BMW F90 M5. This latest generation of the BMW M5 is powered by an evolution of the S63 engine found in the previous generation of the same vehicle. While the engine comes with the same 4.4 Liter displacement, in the F90 M5, it delivers 600 horsepower and 553lb-ft of torque. An 8-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission is used to handle the additional horsepower and torque, sending power, when needed, to all four wheels. This allows the M5 of this generation to sprint from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in just 3.2 seconds.
