Jordanstown's Stephanie Meadow will join Leona Maguire in next month's US Women's Open at Trump National after she came through Sectional Qualifying at Hidden Creek Golf Club in New Jersey on Monday
Meadow opened with a one under 71 then added five birdies in a three-under 69 in the afternoon to finish tied for third in the race for just five places in the field at Trump National in Bedminster, New Jersey from July 13-16. Scores
She will be hoping for a similar performance to her debut in the event in 2014, when she was third behind Michelle Wie at Pinehurst No. 2.
World amateur No 1 Maguire was already exempt for this year's US Women's Open and has accepted an invitation to remain in the US to play in the LPGA Tour's Marathon Classic presented by Owens Corning and O-I from July 20-23.
She's also set to play alongside fellow amateur Olivia Mehaffey in the RICOH Women's British Open at Kingsbarns from August 3-6.
Meadow, meanwhile, is now in Canada for this week's Manulife LPGA Classic at Whistle Bear Golf Club in Ontario.
